The Voigtländer Bessa II is an amazing camera. It has a coupled rangefinder built into the viewfinder. This means you can focus while you frame your image.

The way the rangefinder works on the Bessa II is the entire lens and shutter assembly moves forward and back on geared rails as you focus by turning the knob on the top left side of the camera. This is a very ergonomic way of focussing as you can hold the camera with both hands while you do it - instead of using one hand to hold the camera and the other to focus.

Additionally, the shutter release lever pops out of the left side of the door when you open the lens and is also very ergonomically placed. Because it is slightly in front of the camera rather than on top it is very easy to trip (once the lens is out). It's also easy to hold the camera very still while tripping the shutter.

To make a great camera even greater Voigtländer made a Kontur open eye brightline finder just for this camera (shown here). The way this finder works is you look into it with your right eye while you look at the subject with your left eye. The effect, which is a kind of optical illusion, is you see the subject completely unobstructed with your open left eye and all the finder does is super-impose a white line on your vision that indicates the framing. The finder is marked for parallax correction and to compensate for not being directly centered over the lens.

The Bessa II's Color Heliar lens is extremely sharp edge-to-edge and does not vignette - even when wide open.
